Summary:
The Senior Systems Engineer role designs, implements and manages the processes of end-user and system architectures deployed within the MaineHealth system. This role delivers technical solutions per specified plans, deliverables, costs and timelines, and gathers business requirements and translates into IT solutions. Maintaining and supporting the core systems infrastructure, this role is attentive to requirements such as high availability, disaster recoverability, information systems security, data protection and integrity, etc. Mentors other System Engineers.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High school degree or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Five years of experience in a Windows or Unix, Server or Desktop architecture required.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Five years of experience implementing, managing and supporting mobile and system desktop tools including operating systems, office systems and support tools in an enterprise environment. Five years of experience in enterprise desktop patch and security management including using system tools to test, QA, deploy, and manage desktop security and updates. Five years of experience managing the entire desktop or server architecture lifecycle, including desktop image and software package management in a Microsoft Active Directory environment. Five years tool set experience should include Microsoft deployment tools, SCCM and other packaging tools.
