Job Summary |
As a working team lead, oversees and assists crew responsible for office moves, event setup/tear down, office reconfiguration, equipment moves, and hauling surplus to warehouse. Utilize work order system and communicate with clients via phone or email. Schedule and delegate workload for crew when supervisor is absent. Work schedule frequently includes nights and weekends. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. |
Minimum Education and Experience |
High school diploma or
GED and six (6) months of relevant experience. Possess and maintain a valid Texas Class C driver's license and an acceptable driver rating as established in Policy: UTS157 Section 2.5.4 |
Preferred Education and Experience |
- Vocational/Technical Diploma or some College/Associate's Degree in related field.
OSHA 10-Hour Training or acquire within 3 months.- Experience in a lead role - Less than 6 months
- Experience working with work orders, including customer interaction at an intermediate level - 6 months to 1 year.

Other Qualifications |
To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position. |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- Serves as Team lead, delegating tasks, reviewing work, and motivating team, while working with teammates to complete office moves, event set up/tear down, office reconfiguration, and equipment moves under general direction of the supervisor.
- Schedules and reviews work orders, checking for errors or conflicts and communicates with customers.
- Picks up Surplus Furniture and equipment as requested and delivers to warehouse.
- Ensures all trucks and moving equipment are in functional and safe operating status. Keeps tables and chairs repaired and clean.
- Trains team on and ensures utilization of proper safety equipment and methods.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Work Notice: Work will be performed on site and in-person. May be required to report to on-site work location during campus closure.
