Territory: San Diego & Orange County, CA Employment Type: Full-Time/ Direct Hire Compensation: $85,000 draw + commission + performance-based bonus BBSI is proud to partner with a growing commercial flooring contractor looking to expand their team with a high-performing Sales & Project Manager. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated professional with strong knowledge of commercial flooring and project coordination to lead client engagements, manage installations, and drive growth across the San Diego and Orange County markets. Key Responsibilities Sales & Client Engagement:
- Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with general contractors, commercial builders, and property managers
- Conduct in-person client meetings and job site visits across San Diego and/or Orange County
- Promote company capabilities and past project successes to win new work
- Represent the company with professionalism and integrity during pre-bid, construction, and post-project meetings
Project Management:
- Coordinate all phases of awarded projects including scheduling, labor planning, and delivery timelines
- Oversee site preparation, work sequences, and subcontractor coordination
- Communicate proactively with clients, installation teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project completion
- Manage project documentation such as work orders, change orders, purchase orders, punch lists, and completion reports
- Monitor job costs and work closely with accounting and operations to ensure profitability and client satisfaction
Materials & Logistics:
- Collaborate with vendors to order, track, and schedule flooring materials
- Ensure timely delivery and readiness of products on site
- Resolve field issues as they arise by coordinating solutions between crews, vendors, and clients
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in commercial flooring (installation, sales, or project management)
- Strong understanding of various flooring types including carpet, resilient, hardwood, and tile
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to confidently interface with general contractors, installers, and vendors
- Excellent time management and follow-through skills
