Provides non-clinical support for review processes, often in healthcare settings. This role involves preparing cases for review, ensuring data accuracy, and assisting with administrative tasks related to the review process. Review Assistants may also interact with patients, providers, and other stakeholders to gather information, answer questions, and facilitate the review process.

Essential Functions
  • Supports utilization review processes, often in healthcare settings, by assisting with pre-authorization, concurrent reviews, and discharge planning.
Case Preparation:
  • Review Assistants prepare cases for clinical review by gathering necessary information, ensuring completeness of records, and organizing documents.
Data Management:
  • They enter data into systems, maintain records, and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Customer Service:
  • They respond to inquiries from members, providers, and other stakeholders, providing information and assistance related to the review process.
Workflow Coordination:
  • They may manage support task workflows, prioritize tasks, and coordinate with other team members.
Requirements
  • Strong administrative, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to interpret complex information and work independently.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is often the minimum requirement, with some roles preferring or requiring an associate or bachelor's degree.
Experience:
  • Two or more years of experience in administrative support, customer service, or related fields is frequently desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive)
Organizational Skills:
  • Review Assistants need to be highly organized to manage tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain records.
Analytical Skills:
  • The ability to analyze information, identify patterns, and solve problems is often necessary.
Customer Service Skills:
  • In roles involving external stakeholders, strong customer service skills are often essential.
