Description
Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a tuition-free private home and school for 2,200 pre-K through 12th grade students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Since its' founding, the lives of almost 12,000 children have had lives transformed through high-quality career-focused education and a positive, nurturing home life. And the school is growing to serve more students. MHS is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Law, Public Safety & Security (LPSS) Teacher to join our High School Career and Technical Education (CTE) team. The LPSS teacher will deliver a comprehensive, career-focused curriculum designed to prepare high school students for postsecondary education, training, and careers in the law, public safety, and security sectors. Serving over 900 students in grades 9 - 12, MHS provides a supportive and enriching environment for lower-income students to thrive academically and personally. With small class sizes (average 1:15-18), instructors can make a meaningful impact every day. The LPSS Instructor will lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive LPSS curriculum that prepares students for industry certifications, post-secondary education, and career readiness. The program includes access to state-of-the-art resources, including a mock courtroom, and encourages collaboration with local professionals to provide real-world learning experiences.
