Central Pet Distribution is hiring a Warehouse Direct to Consumer Lead!
Do you love pets and love working in a fast-paced environment? Our growing company is seeking an experienced warehouse lead in our Sacramento warehouse operation.
Supports all facets of the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) operation, including order processing, order selection, packing and shipping. Additionally, is responsible for ensuring that all invoicing and end of day processes are completed as needed and will support the small parcel shipping. This is a working lead position and requires performing the essential functions of the warehouse staff. Expected to be able to perform all aspects of the job as described below, uniquely focused on shipping interface software, and will support other areas of the warehouse operation as needed.

Location: Central Pet Distribution Center on Florin Perkins Road in Sacramento, CA
Shift Details: Day Shift - The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday with regularly scheduled weekend work, 5:00AM to 1:30PM or until all work is completed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the training and development of all personnel working in the DTC operation.
- Assign and monitor work to warehouse associates to ensure orders that orders are picked, packed, and shipped in a timely manner.
- Complete required end of day activities for all shipping systems.
- Schedule UPS, FedEx and other pickups as needed, and ensure that daily pickups are made. Wrap pallets and load trucks.
- Communicate with supervision and management regarding any issues, including performance issues, to ensure they are addressed in a timely
- Must be able to operate all power equipment in a safe manner, including walk-riders, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, forklifts, scissors lifts and order pickers.
- Unload inbound trucks, which could include trucks delivering supplies or products for resale.
- Process returns, including issuing credit and returning product to stock.
- Troubleshoot internal and external issues and work with management to resolve the issue and identify corrective actions to prevent the issue from occurring again.
- Responsible for following AIB and GDP requirements while performing daily operational functions/duties.
- Make sure equipment is charged daily to ensure effective use throughout the operation.
- Regular attendance and onsite presence.
- Serve as an acting supervisor in the absence of the supervisor.
- Perform other warehouse functions as needed, including receiving, replenishment and inventory control functions.
- Assist with processing orders needed for DTC customers in SAP and E21, including creating shipments, picking, posting, and printing invoices. This includes verification that all shipments have been received in the database.
- Assist with management of packaging materials supplies, including placing orders with approved vendors.
- Assist with inquiries from customers regarding the status of an order, requests to cancel orders and processing credits for damaged or wrong product.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 or more years related warehouse experience and RF scanner experience, preferred.
- Basic computer skills and ability to count and perform basic math, required.
- Previous experience with shipping software is a plus, including UPS and FedEx.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- The warehouse is a non-climate-controlled facility. The outside temperature generally reflects the inside temperature with little air circulation. Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust.
- Must be able to wear safety glasses, safety vest and any other personal protective equipment as required for the facility/work area (i.e., gloves, safety shoes).

PAY INFORMATION:
- This position pays $18.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience
