PRN (Per Diem) Pharmacy Postion Opportunity! Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital is a psychiatric hospital that began offering substance abuse and mental health services in 2002. Primarily established to house adolescents, Lighthouse has transitioned to offering a full spectrum of acute inpatient services to adults and seniors as well. Since 2010, Lighthouse has expanded its mental health and substance abuse services. In 2013, Lighthouse opened a 28-day inpatient chemical dependency rehabilitation unit-the first of its kind in the Grand Strand area. In 2015, Lighthouse opened an acute adolescent unit to meet the needs of teens and their families in the Grand Strand. In 2022, Lighthouse opened an Adult Substance Use Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program. At Lighthouse, we strive to perform at a high level for our patients and their families. Provides oversight of the pharmacy tech staff in the absence of the pharmacy director. Provides assigned call responsibility to ensure safe coverage of the pharmacy functions. Provides mechanisms for safe and appropriate medication appropriation, packaging, storage, dispensing, and administration. Reviews policies and procedures at least yearly in accordance to state, federal, and JCAHO standards. Assist Pharmacy Director in maintaining adequate supply of medications in pharmacy. Maintains assistive control over the requisitioning and dispensing of all drugs and pharmaceutical supplies in coordination and collaboration with the Pharmacy Director Assists Pharmacist in maintaining accurate charge system for drugs and pharmaceutical supplies to patients. Performs Drug Use Evaluation studies at the direction of the P&T Committee and actively participates in CQI Teams. Provides training/educational programs for staff and patients and is available to nursing and medical staff for consultation. Maintains knowledge of current medications and trends in prescription and administration. Must have experience in the clinical use of psycho tropic medications and experience with dispensing medications in a hospital setting. Must have knowledge of state, federal, and JCAHO standards for pharmacy. CPR Certified CPI certified in Verbal and Physical De-escalation.
