Fuss & O'Neill is seeking a Water Resource | Dam Engineer to join our growing Water and Natural Resources team! This is an exciting opportunity to take on impactful work focused on watershed management, dam safety, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, and urban stormwater systems.
You will support project managers in both modeling and design tasks for a variety of public and private sector projects, while also taking a growing role in mentoring junior staff and contributing to quality control processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project managers with modeling and design for water and natural resource projects
  • Conduct hydrologic analysis of watersheds and delineation of catchments
  • Perform hydraulic evaluations of culverts, bridges, streams, and riverine systems
  • Contribute to design of dam repairs, dam removals, and stormwater treatment systems
  • Assist with fieldwork and site assessments
  • Write technical reports and ensure quality deliverables
  • Participate in QA/QC process
  • Mentor and train junior level staff


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, or related field)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant working experience, consulting experience preferred
  • EIT preferred (or ability to obtain within one year)
  • Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HydroCAD, and other modeling software
  • Familiarity with PCSWMM, StormCAD, and Civil3D a plus
  • Strong written communication skills with emphasis on technical report writing
  • Dam-related project experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
