POSITION REPORTS TO: Assistant Director of Meetings DIRECT REPORTS: None EMPLOYEE STATUS: Exempt, Full-time (Minimum of 37.5 hours/week) ROLE TYPE/LEVEL: Mid-Level, Non-Supervisory CLIENT/DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW: The International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (MDS) is a non-profit medical professional society of influential clinicians, scientists, and other healthcare professionals from around the world dedicated to improving the care of patients with movement disorders through education and research. JOB OVERVIEW: The MDS Meetings Manager will work with the Meetings team under the direction of the MDS Assistant Director of Meetings, to manage tasks and activities associated with the MDS Regional Congresses (PAS Congress and AOPMC) and International Congress. This includes logistics as well as projects related to the Regional Congress committees. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (minimum of 37.5 hours/week):
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills; computer proficiency required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years of project management experience, Bachelor's degree preferred. TRAVEL REQUIRED: Approximately 3-4 weeks per year. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This is a full-time position is located in our office in downtown Milwaukee, WI and a minimum of two days onsite in the office (including Wednesday as an all-staff-in-office day) are a requirement of the role. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (lifting, packaging, etc.) Unrestricted mobility: must be able to walk great distances, move quickly from place to place, and lift and move 50-pound boxes. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Some early mornings, evening and weekend work may be required. |
