We're actively seeking a talented Onboarding Specialist to join our Onboarding and Contracts Team in Omaha, NE or Chattanooga, TN.

As an Onboarding Specialist you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by playing a key role in providing a first-class friction free onboarding experience to our new employer groups who have selected Pacific Life as the carrier of choice for their employee benefits in the Workforce Benefits division. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 3 people in the Workforce Benefits division. Your colleagues will include Onboarding Consultants and fellow Onboarding professionals.

How you'll help move us forward:

  • Onboard employers in our newly created Workforce Benefits Division through adherence to processes and procedures aligned to the policy admin system and product builds.
  • Manage the onboarding experience for new or existing employers who have selected Pacific Life as their carrier of choice and guide them through the set-up of their new product in coordination with brokers, account specialists, and other internal stakeholders (underwriting, contracts, compliance, billing and enrollment).
  • Provide training and information to the brokers and client on the interactive tools designed to streamline the collection of onboarding information, create real time status and provide transparency between broker, employer and internal partners.
  • Collaborate with employers as a product and capabilities expert to provide proactive solutions and innovative ideas that align with the friction-free service and claims model.
  • Coordinate and lead calls with employers, brokers and internal partners as needed throughout the onboarding process to ensure clear communication, accurate set up and best-in-class customer experience.
  • Configure an administrative platform to align with client offering based on quote and post-sale discussions.
  • Educate employers on administrative best practices to prepare them post onboarding on our billing, claims and ongoing service needs including the utilization of digital and portal capabilities.
  • Works within departmental controls for all aspects of the role including a high standard of ethics.
  • Participates and contributes to team meetings and brings insight on trends to the department.
  • Job performance must meet department standards for work prioritization, productivity, quality and timeliness.
  • Identifies, understands and ensures that actions, behaviors and decisions are consistent with the department, division and Pacific Life Mission & Vision.

The experience you bring:

  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 1-3 years of group benefits operations experience, financial services, or product compliance
  • Effective communicator with externally facing presence
  • Customer-centric with problem-solving skillset
  • Detail Oriented
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Intermediate skills with MS office applications

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$31.16 - $38.08
