Summary A Egg Grader Maintenance Specialist supports the maintenance and repair of egg grading equipment, supporting multiple egg production and grading facilities. This role includes hands-on maintenance tasks and other responsibilities such as scheduling maintenance, inspecting equipment, managing inventory, and potentially supervising a small team of maintenance personnel. Key Responsibilities: * Responsible for maintenance reliability and opportunities, including equipment safety according to OSHA, maximizing machine productivity and uptime, as well as the conditions and upkeep. * Implement and manage maintenance management software at each location * Drive efficiency and yields in our equipment by ensuring world class maintenance practices * Purchase and source according to company guidelines while adhering to purchasing requirements. * Plans and performs work requiring thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical knowledge and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment. * Travels between all locations to ensure Maintenance team is well trained in our grading equipment including troubleshooting, programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies and electrical to ensure consistent reliability of machinery * Assist with the installation of new egg grading equipment as needed. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. * A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes. * Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment and especially must be able to interface and communicate with line operators to assist with repairs and troubleshooting. * Willing to work any shift and overtime as required. * Abilities to travel based on needs of the business to grading facilities. * Computer experience/operation and PLC programming are necessary. * High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required. Physical Demands Work Environment Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and water, and chemicals. Temperature is regulated for operations standards. Cooler temperatures occur in specific areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Proper personal protective equipment will be required during certain working conditions. Employees are required to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) due to working in a food manufacturing environment (hairnets, clean clothes, etc.).
