Business Process Auditor/Assistant FSO
Position Profile: The MBP Audit Specialist would be responsible for ensuring adherence to internal policies and processes by examining how tasks are performed and how information flows throughout the organization. The Assistant Facility Security Officer (FSO) is the technical advisor to the management team on security matters and is responsible for the proper implementation of security related decisions, for coordination of available security resources and measures, and has, along with the FSO, primary responsibility and overall accountability for coordinating the facility security program and plans for the Company.
Essential or Primary / Key Responsibilities:
- Design Audits to evaluate the organization's processes.
- Process Evaluation - Examine the steps involved in a specific process, ensuring it's executed as intended.
- Documenting and Reporting - Document findings in detailed audit reports and present them to management, outlining identified issues and proposed solutions.
- Provide guidance to non-cleared employees regarding relevant Department of Defense CUI/CDI handling requirements (e.g., export control, international contacts, etc.)
- Achieve and maintain Authorization to Operate classified information systems via e-MASS.
- Maintain the operational security posture for approved information systems.
- Provide IS security related training and guidance to program management and staff.
- Maintain eligibility for his/her personal security clearance.
- Advise the FSO and/or Authorizing Official (AO) of changes affecting the system's security posture.
- Participate in an information security risk assessment during the Security Assessment and Authorization process.
- Prepare, distribute, and maintain plans, instructions, guidance, and standard operating procedures concerning the security of approved Automated Information Systems.
- Recognize a possible security violation and take appropriate action to report the incident as required.
- Recommend resource allocations required to securely operate and maintain DoD approved Automated Information Systems.
- Assist the FSO in both initial and refresher employee security awareness training.
- Ensure proper receipt of Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD Form 254) from prime contractors and ensure timely issuance to subcontractors.
- Assist as needed in granting/removing facility access via the Company's access control system, and providing access reports to lab managers in support of time audits as requested
- Track security clearance investigations and perform support functions for the cleared population via secure DoD-portals, such as verification of cleared customer/partner facilities addresses, classified visit requests (both incoming and outgoing) and required foreign travel reporting.
- Support the FSO in performance and maintenance of the Company's CCTV system. Collaboration with the Facilities and IT departments when equipment failure and upgrades are required. Coordination with the Company's contracted guard force to support internal investigations.
- Monitor foreign national visitors to Marotta Controls in collaboration with the Export manager
- Assist the FSO in maintaining all security documentation and files in accordance with DCSA requirements.
- Other duties as assigned/determined by the FSO
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- 2-5 years of experience with facility security, with a strong, demonstratable working knowledge of Department of Defense regulations and protocols.
- Demonstrated experience with applicable government security systems (e.g. web portals).
- Understanding of facility security protocols for the protection of classified, sensitive unclassified, personally identifiable, and proprietary information.
- Maintain discretion regarding the handling of sensitive information.
This position is at our Parsippany NJ office location.
Pay Range: $80,000 - $95,000 per year
