This role is responsible for planning and supporting the credit union's community engagement efforts, under the direction of the Community Engagement Manager. As a Community Engagement Representative, you will serve as a vital ambassador for LGE Community Credit Union, fostering meaningful relationships with educational institutions and community partners to enhance financial literacy and community presence. You'll also assist with planning, supporting, and executing upon credit union sponsored events, including school partnerships. You'll facilitate financial education classes, and represent the credit union at community events. Overall, the focus of this role is on increasing the visibility of the credit union, and to assist the credit union in achieving strategic goals (such as new membership, deposit and loan growth, etc.).

LGE Community Credit Union is seeking a Community Engagement Representative who will serve as a dynamic ambassador for our organization-partnering with schools, nonprofits, and local organizations to drive awareness, engagement, and positive impact.

What You'll Do:
  • Be the face of LGE at schools, nonprofit organizations, and local events
  • Lead our Partner in Education (PIE) program-building strong relationships with educators and administrators
  • Deliver interactive financial literacy workshops to students, families, and community members
  • Organize and represent LGE at community events, managing logistics and promoting engagement
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support outreach, promotional efforts, and event strategies
  • Facilitate meetings and lead initiatives like our Community Engagement Committee
Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Communications, Marketing, Education, Public Relations, or related field
  • 3+ years' experience in community outreach, public relations, or education (preferably in finance or nonprofit sectors)
  • Strong public speaking, presentation, and project management skills
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication abilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with CRM/event tools a plus
  • Availability for occasional evenings/weekends to support events
  • Valid driver's license
