Water Truck Driver

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety conscious Water Truck Driver to operate and maintain water trucks for dust control, compaction, and other site support activities. The ideal candidate will have experience operating water trucks in construction, mining or similar environments and will ensure water distribution is performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Operate water truck to control dust and maintain proper moisture levels on construction sites.
  • Safely transport and distribute water across designated work areas.
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain the water truck and associated equipment daily.
  • Monitor water levels, pumps, and spray nozzles to ensure proper functioning.
  • Assist site crews with compaction efforts and provide water for other site activities as directed.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
  • Complete daily logs, inspection reports, and maintenance records.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements



  • Valid CDL (Class B) driver's license with a Hazardous Materials and Tanker endorsements (required).
  • Must have a driving record in Good Standing.
  • Excellent verbal communication.
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well with minimal direct supervision.
  • Strong attention to safety and site procedures.


Physical Demands and Work Environment



  • Ability to drive, and operate truck controls for extended periods.
  • Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs., occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., and infrequent lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes
  • Exposure to construction sites


Education, Experience and Required Skills, Including Certificates, Licenses and Registrations



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid CDL (Class B) driver's license with a Hazardous Materials and Tanker endorsements (required).
