Join us as a Quality Engineer Your main responsibilities
Quality Engineer for Schindler Elevator Corporation at its Hanover, PA and York, PA offices. (30%) Develop statistics for the claims analysis and uses SPSP approach to identify the root cause, containment, and corrective actions to improve performance. Supporting Customer (field) and Field Quality Team on resolving any ongoing problems or issues and on the Root cause - Containment & Corrective Action process (RCCA). Part of Claims analysis team working on Supplier, Factory, Shipping, Field, and Design complaints and reporting to various stakeholders. (13%) Work alongside the Industrialization and other departments on new projects supporting First Articles Analysis, Inspection plan assignments and Standard of work creations. (10%) Works with the factory Quality team by creating inspection check sheets, inspection level setups, supports with material pre check (MPC), mockups, outgoing audits. Perform detailed analysis of defective material found during internal manufacturing (MRN) or those received from the field. Review of MRNs for proper disposition & responsibilities. Conduct all dimensional and functional tests to establish the root cause and carry activities to ensure corrective and preventive actions are established and implemented. (15%) Identify and communicate supplier quality issues to Supplier Development, Procurement, and suppliers. Provide technical assistance as required to assist in resolution. Collaborating with Suppliers and Supplier Development on their Key Performance targets. (10%) Manages the Return Material Analysis Process (RMA) and work with Supplier, Field, R&D teams on identifying and determining various improvement plans for parts and processes by analysing defective materials & data. (8%) Provide assistance to production, R&D and industrialization personnel to ensure that new product designs are manufactured and shipped to meet quality specifications. (10%) Conducting internal and external Supplier Qualification Audits (SQA) and re-certification Supplier Consistency Audits (SCA). Collaborating with Supplier Development team on the Product Readiness Review (PRR). Support efforts to obtain effective solutions to findings. Help verify corrective actions have been implemented and are effective. (2%) Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner. (2%) Ensure 5S and other initiatives drive by management are implemented in his/her area of control. What you bring
Job requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing) or other related technical field of study; plus 24 months of experience in the offered position or other closely related positions. Experiences may be concurrent. *Position requires travel between company offices in Hanover, PA and York, PA. What's in it for you?
