This role will serve as a Logistics Technician supporting the IBCS Project Office with all Logistics and Maintenance efforts at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico (WSMR). Responsibilities This position is responsible for providing supply and maintenance support for the IBCS program. The role involves working with the IFMC Test Directorate ensuring all logistics and maintenance of IBCS Major End Items (MEIs) are mission capable to support various Developmental and Operational Tests at WSMR. All other duties assigned to support the IFMC Test Directorate with mission accomplishment. Your role will be to: 1) Communicate logistics information to customers and other stakeholders, 2) Develop and maintain relationships with transportation providers, customers, OEMs, and other stakeholders, 3) Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, 4) Develop and implement logistics plans and procedures to optimize the maintenance of major weapon system items and associated test equipment, 5) Manage logistics data including work orders, maintenance schedules, spares lists, etc., 6) Coordinate the transportation of major weapon systems and associated test equipment, 7) Identify and resolve logistics problems in order to minimize equipment down time, 8) Facilitate and/or perform equipment and material movement, 9) Monitor shipping schedules to ensure on time delivery of goods and materials, 10) Inventory and manage military property utilizing Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS), previously known as Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) and hand receipts, 11) Have working knowledge of multiple automated supply information platforms (e.g. WebFLIS, FEDLOG, Defense Logistics Agency platform, etc.), 12) Maintains accountability of major weapon systems and associated test equipment allocated to the WSMR field office in accordance with AR 710-4, AR750-1, AR710-2 and any other applicable regulations, 13) Receive new equipment at the WSMR field office by documenting, inventorying, and receipting into the system for accountability 14) Perform equipment turn-in to DRMO activities, 15) Ship and receive equipment along with all necessary documentation, 16) Field, respond to, and fill ad hoc supply requests, 17) Evaluate vendor quotes to determine most desirable suppliers, and 18) Perform additional tasks, as required.
