Summary: The Compensation Analyst Senior develops and implements the organization's compensation programs following established standards and policies, so these programs are administered effectively and in accordance with the organization's reward strategy. Responsible for strategic market analysis, strategic internal pay structure management, and administration. Evaluates salaried, hourly, middle, and top management positions. Administer the company's compensation programs in accordance with established policies so that employees receive the appropriate compensation for their positions. Utilizing INFOR GHR ERP system, evaluate and audit positions and application of existing classifications to individuals, and make the necessary periodic updates. Ensures direct compensation programs and practices follow organizational policies, state and federal statutes, and legislation. Reviews job descriptions and assesses appropriate compensation levels according to established protocol. Provides compensation counsel and advice to leadership and management, prepares reports and analyses of data related to compensation. Assist in updating the salary structures. May train or instruct lower-level colleagues. Responsibilities: * Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. * Utilize INFOR GHR for reliability and efficiency; generate necessary employee reports for analysis. * Utilizing INFOR GHR, audits and maintains the alignment of compensation-relevant employee data with the appropriate associates. These include but are not limited to, grade assignments, job levels, salary structure assignments, job codes, and job titles. * Evaluate new and revised job descriptions and research market data to determine a recommended job grade and FLSA classification for positions. * Communicate approved salary and wage information for new Associates and various salary actions in accordance with the CHRISTUS Health Compensation Guideline and market data. * Conduct internal equity analysis of pay, considering all ministries, facilities, and locations. * Prepare and analyze complex data to make recommendations to management and leadership. * Complete thorough documentation of requests for information, job reviews, research, and recommendations * Consult with leadership and Human Resources in developing and maintaining job descriptions and job architecture by providing information on the job description format, guidelines for writing job descriptions, and procedures for requesting job reviews; review job description drafts and consult with management on final drafts. * Provide advice to management on the resolution of classification and salary complaints. * Manage compensation software and continuous data tool updates required for accurate system operations. * Perform other duties as assigned by Compensation and HR leadership. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, human resource management or related field
- Proficiency in software skills including PC spreadsheets and the ability to extract information from human resources information systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Ability to use calculators, computers or other analytical tools to support activities.
- Ability to identify strategic issues/needs within compensation initiatives.
- 4 - 7 years of compensation work experience.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
