Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. HVCC offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in three schools: Business and Liberal Arts; Health Sciences; and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). In order to be considered an applicant for this position you must meet the minimum qualifications as stated in this announcement. HVCC does not support Visas. Applicants must currently hold an unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States and appointment will be contingent upon completion of a background check.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of two (2) years full time experience in the area of college admissions, education or school counseling. Candidate must have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel extensively within a 75-mile radius of HVCC and be able to lift and manage boxes of admission materials. Master's degree preferred. The preferred candidate will be a current employee of Hudson Valley Community College and have the ability to manage multiple tasks with the utilization of time management, technical ability and strong interpersonal communication/customer service skills. Occasional evening and weekend hours required.

The Assistant Director of Admissions reports to the Director of Admissions and is responsible for development, implementation, supervision of assigned staff and monitoring of strategic enrollment management activities in the areas of on/off campus recruitment and communications.

Nature and Scope of Duties

1. In conjunction with the Admissions Office, complete appropriate planning and tasks associated with Strategic Enrollment Management activities assigned by the Director of Admissions.

2. Assist the Associate Director with the coordination of enrollment communications including but not limited to, correspondence and publications for prospects, applicants and enrolled students. Assist in the development of marketing publications and materials for targeted student market segments.

3. Develop and implement recruitment initiatives that are designed at increasing underrepresented, international and diverse student populations.

4. Assist the Admissions Office with on-campus admission events.

5. Serves as the liaison between Admissions and assigned academic departments.

6. Maintains membership in professional education-related organizations.

7. Assists other offices within the Division of Enrollment Management & Student Development on an as-needed basis.

8. Assist the Director with the supervision of assigned staff.

9. Travel to area high schools for Instant Admission Days, College Fairs, Parent Nights, Career Fairs and Community Events.

10. Assist the Associate Director with coordination & maintenance of travel and on-campus events.

11. Assist the Director of Admissions with the implementation, coordination and maintenance of all electronic processing systems including Banner and CRM Recruit.

12. Performs other related duties as assigned.

This is a 12-month, Full-Time position with a salary range of $51,000-$54,000.
