Position Summary:

Level 4 NC Machinists demonstrate expert-level ability to set up, run, and troubleshoot all site-specific CNC and conventional machines and machining processes. These individuals are proficient across a broad range of equipment and can independently manufacture and validate complex tooling. In addition to machining responsibilities, Level 4 machinists are expected to provide leadership, mentoring, and hands-on training to lower-level machinists. They play a key role in cross-training, troubleshooting, and supporting area leadership. This role typically requires 5 or more years of machining experience.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform all Level 1-3 duties, plus:

  • Provide cross-training flexibility across all machining platforms and departments.
  • Independently troubleshoot machining problems and assist other machinists as needed.
  • Design, manufacture, and validate tooling for production needs.
  • Lead process improvement efforts within the area.
  • Mentor and train lower-level machinists, supporting their development and growth.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and area lead when necessary.
  • Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of management to meet operational needs.
Required Skills:
  • Advanced experience across multiple CNC and conventional machining platforms.
  • Expert knowledge of tooling, setup, program validation, and machine recovery.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills applied to a wide range of production challenges.
  • Intermediate knowledge of CAD/CAM software.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • This position may involve standing for extended periods, repetitive motion, exposure to machine noise, and handling of industrial materials using proper PPE.
Required Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in a machining role.
  • Proven success in mentoring, training, or leading others on the shop floor.
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $34.00 to $40 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 104 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
