Job summary The Vice President of Marketing & Sales will lead the marketing and sales strategy for what could be the first DNA medicine approved in US, with potential approval mid-2026 (a first-in-class drug/device combination product targeted for use in the rare disease Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis). This is a pivotal executive role at a transformative moment in our company's journey, offering the opportunity to shape and execute the go-to-market strategy for a breakthrough innovative product. This is a high-impact, mission-critical role responsible for developing and executing integrated sales and marketing strategies that drive disease awareness, patient and HCP education, stakeholder engagement, and successful product uptake in the U.S. market. This executive, reporting directly to the CCO, will be responsible for building and leading an integrated marketing and sales team and overseeing a near-term product launch. As a key member of the commercial leadership team, the VP will play a key role in moving INOVIO to a commercial stage biotech- delivering on both a near-term launch in rare disease, as well as helping to shape the longer-term strategy through lifecycle management and pipeline prioritization. The ideal candidate will bring deep commercial experience (across marketing, sales and other commercial functions) in both large pharma and biotech and have recent launch experience, preferably in rare disease. Experience in combination drug/device products would also be desirable, but not essential. This role will span both strategy and execution, requiring strong strategic and tactical leadership experience and ability to build relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
