The primary function for this position is to provide support to all departments requesting conference services for UC Davis Health events at the Medical Center and other venues. The role of this position will be to provide complete customer service and to process all requests in a timely manner. Conference services coordinates media equipment set-up and use, classroom and conference room reservation management, space layout consultation, assigned space maintenance and repair coordination, and service inquiry response. This position will process all requests via-email, online software and telephone. Conference Services will coordinate arrangements with other departments and attend meetings and conferences as requested/needed for onsite support. Services may be provided nights and weekends outside of regular business hours and days as scheduled.

Qualifications

- Required to hold a valid California driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program
- Experience working simultaneously on several projects independently using independent judgment in determining and setting priorities.
- Experience working effectively and efficiently to complete multiple tasks with conflicting demands and frequent interruptions.
- Knowledgeable of computer use for multimedia presentations, administrative work and scheduling including Office 365 applications and email programs.
- Knowledge of and demonstrated experience of current operating systems and networking protocols for installations, configuration, administration and maintenance.
- Ability to understand and interpret room layouts and schematics.
- Knowledge of work physical safety practices.
- Ability to oversee technical work performed by other technicians during maintenance activities and project installations.
- Ability to assist users with multimedia presentations.
- Knowledge of data projection systems, computer systems, audio systems, and systems associated multimedia equipment.
- Sufficient knowledge and experience of audio-visual equipment to operate, troubleshoot, evaluate and consult.
- Ability to read and write, and to follow written and oral instructions regarding assignments.

Department Overview
The purpose of the Conference Services Department is to coordinate and manage all general use of assigned conference rooms and classrooms to support UC Davis Health functions at the Medical Center and elsewhere, as needed. Specific services include but are not limited to conference rooms, classrooms, media visual equipment, scheduling, inspection, maintenance of assigned rooms, furnishings and equipment. Work Environment
