As part of this momentum, the Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will report to the Chief Data Officer and play a key role in enhancing our enterprise analytics capabilities. This role supports organization-wide efforts to unlock actionable insights from complex datasets, improve data governance, and enable smarter decision-making. It requires a strong command of modern BI tools and data engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture and Integration
- Design and maintain efficient data pipelines supporting cross-functional analytics
- Transform diverse CRO data sources into scalable, interpretable formats
- Develop integrations using REST APIs and structured data formats (e.g., XML, JSON)
Software Development and Data Management
- Build and manage business intelligence dashboards and reporting solutions
- Support full life cycle development of analytics tools for internal and client-facing
- Implement data quality assurance protocols to maintain consistency and reliability
Cloud Infrastructure and Compliance
- Leverage cloud platforms (e.g., MS Azure and AWS) to ensure scalable storage and data workflows
- Uphold internal standards for secure data architecture and privacy
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with data scientists, DBAs, developers, and analysts across business units
- Document and communicate architectural decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Communication Studies; Master's degree in business administration preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Business Analytics and Data Engineering
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI, Qlik, or similar BI Platforms
- Strong understanding of structured data standards and integration practices
- Experience with APIs, OAuth 2.0 protocols, and secure data delivery Familiarity with
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices for CROs
