Overview:
We are seeking a Director of Facilities with a proven background in facilities management, strategic space planning, and team leadership. This role will focus on managing all aspects of the firm's physical office operations across multiple locations, providing high-level oversight of real estate strategy, lease management, hospitality services, and security protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing multi-site facilities, vendor relationships, and office relocations, and will bring excellent organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills to the team.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Provide leadership and supervision to the Facilities Manager, Facilities Assistant, Receptionists, and Hospitality/Conference Services teams.
* Manage the firm's Service Center and outsourced vendor relationships, ensuring quality and contract compliance.
* Maintain and enhance physical security systems, access controls, and emergency protocols; serve on the Privacy and Security Committee.
* Prepare and manage the annual Facilities budget and ensure timely processing of invoices.
* Oversee office space strategy, including office assignments, hybrid space utilization data, and relationship management with landlords and property managers.
* Lead all office relocation efforts and internal employee moves, coordinating logistics to minimize disruption.
* Manage lease agreements, space design, and construction projects in collaboration with firm leadership and legal counsel.
* Maintain service contracts and vendor agreements related to administrative services, facilities, vending, and catering.
* Coordinate the firm's Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning, including emergency communication tools and annual tabletop exercises.
* Oversee hospitality services to ensure a professional, welcoming environment for employees, clients, and guests.
* Administer firm parking contracts and relationships with parking providers across locations.
* Maintain inventory records of firmwide equipment, furniture, and supplies.
* Ensure timely availability of mobile storage pedestals for reservable offices.
* Review and approve budgets related to firm-related interoffice travel.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with landlords, vendors, and cross-functional teams across the firm.

Our Ideal Candidates Will Have:
* Five or more years of progressively responsible management experience in facilities or administrative operations, preferably in a professional services or law firm environment.
* High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
* Familiarity with reservation systems and facilities software (e.g., security access systems, visitor management platforms).
* Strong aptitude for interpreting contracts and understanding budgeting principles.
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, respond to shifting needs, and collaborate across departments.
* Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
* A high level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
* This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring regular presence in the Minneapolis office each week.

The salary range for this position varies by geographical market. In Minneapolis, the estimated starting annual pay range is $170,000 - 200,000/year. The compensation offered will be dependent on the candidate's experience, skills, education, professional background, overall qualifications, and geographic market location.
