What you will do:

The Communications Director - GPS and GC&FO will be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of the global products & solutions (GPS) and global field and commercial operations (GC&FO) communication strategies. This role involves developing and implementing primarily internal communication plans and tactics, ensuring employee alignment to our strategy and their role delivering value for our customers as well as reactive and proactive media strategies to drive corporate reputation and brand awareness. The Communications Director will partner closely with the President of both organizations to effectively convey strategy, priorities and values to both internal and external audiences while achieving financial targets.

How you will do it:

  • Support the President of Global Products and President of Global Commercial & Field Operations, providing executive communications support, strategic communications planning and leadership communication cadences (meetings, AMAs, social presence, etc.).

  • Serve as a dedicated member of the GPS and GC&FO leadership teams, partnering closely with the leadership team to drive the growth strategy and execution of initiatives.

  • Serve as a people manager, leading and mentoring a team of high-performing communications professionals to drive impactful messaging and engagement.

  • Craft compelling content, including comprehensive communication plans, PowerPoint, memos, videos, presentations and executive messaging.

  • Drive the public relations strategy for the Products business by partnering closely with public relations and marketing to build and protect reputation and enable customer growth.

  • Partner closely with transformation project teams to achieve financial targets and

  • Leverage new channels and technology to drive impactful front-line communications with our wired and non-wired employees.

  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure consistent messaging and brand identity across all communication channels.

  • Provides exceptional written and verbal skills for communication-related projects or work as otherwise assigned.

  • Monitor and analyze communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and make data-driven decisions.

What we look for:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or executive communications with at least 5 years' leading and developing high-performing teams.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic communications plans.

  • Strong background in crisis response frameworks and protocols, partnering closely with Legal, HR and executive teams to ensure unified messaging for crisis-related situations.

  • Exceptional writing, messaging, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, compelling content across traditional, digital and social media channels.

  • Experience influencing across a matrixed organization and partnering with senior leadership.

  • Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills, capable of building trust and consensus among stakeholders at all levels.

  • Ability to deliver and manage concurrent projects, manage ambiguity, and be flexible in your approach

Preferred

  • MBA / Advanced degree

  • Experience in the industrial / industrial tech industry or experience in a field-based business (O&G, construction, real estate).

  • Proven track record in crisis and issues management, with the ability to navigate complex, high-pressure situations.

Preferred location is Glendale, WI office.
