We have an opportunity for a Sustainability Senior Manager to join our Golden Valley, MN team. You will have responsibility for advancing greenhouse gas/climate and water strategies, act as an SME supporting sustainability disclosures and reporting, lead water stewardship, and external ratings/rankings submissions. This role will report to the Vice President of Sustainability located in Golden Valley, MN. You will lead Pentair's Sustainability climate and water strategies, including developing and executing strategies within our operations and external engagements. This includes working closely with the VP of Sustainability, Legal and Controlling teams to develop, document, and disclose targets, actions, and policies associated with these programs. In addition, you will lead, develop, and maintain Pentair's climate risk and scenario analysis, climate transition plans, and scope three reduction strategies, as well as be responsible for continuing advancement and leadership in water stewardship.

You will:

  • Lead Pentair's Sustainability climate and water strategies, including advancing related topics such as biodiversity as needed. This includes both developing strategies, as well as executional responsibility with business and functional partners across the organization. This also includes partnerships with the controlling team to track and document sustainability related capital and operational expenses.
  • Partner with legal counsel and ESG controller to monitor regulations and develop governance and disclosure processes to ensure compliance, including responsibility for developing and executing technical sustainability programs in support of corporate level requirements for Pentair.
  • Lead development and execution of greenhouse gas/climate impact risk assessments and reduction strategies, including:
    • Climate risk and scenario analysis
    • Climate transition plans
    • Scope 3 reduction strategies
  • Lead continued advancement of Pentair's water stewardship strategy.
  • Partner with Pentair Legal, Finance and Controlling teams to ensure ESG data aligns with applicable financial data governance and disclosure controls.
  • Collaborate to build and maintain presentations to connect all Pentair stakeholders to Pentair's Sustainability strategy and results. Presentations can be used internally across Pentair's Enterprise and with Pentair's Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors as well as externally with Pentair Stakeholders. Presentation quality and maintenance will be of key importance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in science, Engineering, Sustainability or public reporting related field or degree, or similar
  • Minimum of 7 years of Environmental Social Governance (ESG) or Corporate Sustainability experience, including experience in water stewardship and sustainability reporting preferred
  • Be excellent communication, including experience in developing materials suitable for executive audiences and communicating with impact at all levels across a matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and translate strategies into actionable plans.
  • Excellent influencing skills with experiencing managing a wide range of internal stakeholders.
  • Be results-oriented with proven ability to follow through while managing multiple and competing priorities.
  • Strong accuracy and high attention to detail
  • Strong ethics, values, and a passion to make a positive impact on people and our planet.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $128500 - $238600 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with a demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
