Germantown, WI Job Category: Manufacturing Job Details: Key Responsibilities: * Set up and operate vertical band saw to cut metal materials including steel, aluminum, and other alloys. * Interpret and work from blueprints, cut lists, and technical drawings. * Measure and mark material for cu ng using appropriate tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares. * Monitor machinery during opera on to detect any malfunctions or irregularities. * Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of saw equipment to ensure op mal performance. * Inspect cut pieces for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications. * Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area in accordance with shop safety policies. * Collaborate with team members to coordinate workflow and priori ze job orders. * Load and unload material safely using forklifts, hoists, or crane. Qualifications: * 1+ year of experience opera ng band saws or similar cu ng equipment in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment preferred. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schema cs, and measuring tools. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. * Basic math and mechanical skills. * Physical ability to stand for extended periods and li up to 50 lbs. * Forklift certification on a plus (or willingness to obtain). * Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE usage in a fabrication setting. Working Conditions: * Shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and metal debris. * Use of protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots is required. * Regular physical activity including lifting, bending, and standing. |
