$110-140K 1st Mequon, WI Job Category: Engineering Job Details: This role is a key contributor to designing, programming, and optimizing control systems that improve safety, efficiency, and quality across our manufacturing operations. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and take ownership of innovative solutions that support our automation goals and plant performance. Key responsibilities may include: * Design and maintain electrical control systems for manufacturing equipment * Develop control solutions that meet engineering specs, codes, standards, and budget requirements * Program and maintain PLCs, robots, and NC-controlled machinery (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) * Update electrical design layouts and component specifications * Redesign systems to improve safety, product quality, and operational efficiency * Collaborate with engineering, safety, and quality teams to resolve system-related issues * Evaluate and select appropriate electrical and automation components * Ensure compliance with safety standards, including NFPA 70E and arc flash requirements * Support new equipment launches and continuous improvement initiatives * Stay up to date on emerging control technologies and best practices We're looking for someone who has: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience * Proficiency in PLC programming-preferably Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms * Experience with NC-controlled equipment and robotic systems * Strong attention to detail and a quality-driven mindset * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision * Understanding of NFPA 70E standards and safety compliance practices * Experience supporting new product launches or process development projects You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy bringing automation systems to life, collaborating across departments, and solving real-time challenges on the plant floor.
