Technical Job Details: Class: A Panel Wire Tech Job Description CLASS A: The responsibilities of an Enhanced Automation Class A Panel Wire Tech shall include all CLASS B responsibilities, in addition to the following: * Trained by Lead Technician and demonstrated ability to perform quality assurance tests on assemblies constructed by all classifications of technicians. * Follows all Arc-Flash safety procedures for high voltage power testing of assemblies. All other reasonable duties as assigned by the Director of Operations, General Manager, or President. Class: B Panel Wire Tech Job Description CLASS B: The responsibilities of an Enhanced Automation Class B Panel Wire Tech shall include all CLASS C responsibilities, in addition to the following: * Demonstrate basic knowledge of UL 508A and 698A standards and requirements. * Review shop orders and engineering drawings for issues and proper components. All other reasonable duties as assigned by the Director of Operations, General Manager, or President. Class: C Panel Wire Tech Job Description CLASS C: The responsibilities of an Enhanced Automation Class C Panel Wire Tech shall include all CLASS D responsibilities, in addition to the following: * Identify potential assembly & wiring issues and propose possible solutions. All other reasonable duties as assigned by the Lead Technician, Director of Operations, General Manager, or President. Class: D Panel Wire Tech Job Description CLASS D: The responsibilities of an Enhanced Automation Class D Panel Wire Tech include but are not limited to the following: * Layout and assemble the panels to include required components. Perform drilling, tapping, and riveting activities as required. Layout location of wire runs. * Follow schematics and layouts to wire panels to meet customer specifications and company wiring and assembly standards. Ensure the use of the correct wire types and sizes. * Perform all crimping and lugging activities according to standards. * Wire custom electrical panels working from schematics. (Note: This is not point-to-point wiring.) * Operate a wide variety of small hand and power tools. * Read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings and wire components and equipment consistent with standards in a neat and orderly fashion. * Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds. * Identify and apply required labeling. * Place panels in enclosures as required. * Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc. * Communicate any safety, quality, process or procedural improvement suggestions to the Lead Technician. * Keep work area clean and organized. |
