Job Description
ECU Department of Student Involvement and Leadership - The Ledonia Wright Cultural Center ( LWCC) is currently seeking motivated and dedicated full-time undergraduate students for the Student Assistant position for the Fall 2025/Spring 2026 academic year. As a Student Assistant, you will represent the LWCC at resource fairs, assist with the general upkeep of the office, and other general tasks as assigned.
The LWCC Student Assistant role fosters personal growth by cultivating cultural competency and contributing to a sense of community. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain practical experience, develop professionally, and make a meaningful impact while attending East Carolina University.
General Responsibilities

  • Staff front desk and welcome visitors to the center
  • Assist with general office upkeep to ensure a clean and organized environment for meetings and events
  • Represent the LWCC at information fairs and programs, sharing details about the center's resources and events
  • Supporting LWCC event logistics


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Strong time-keeping skills.
* Strong organizational and communicational skills.
* Ability to work well with others in a team setting.
* Ability to assist in program/event planning from concept to production
* Adherence to deadlines
* Willingness to contribute to the overall operation of the LWCC
* Ability to generate, share and follow through on creative ideas
Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to utilize computer workstation/personal laptop/tablet
  • Use of office phone
  • Lifting office materials and supplies


Preferred Skills
  • Successful candidates will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be detail-driven and organized, and be flexible and comfortable with a fast-paced working environment.

  • Min 2.5 GPA
