Introduction: We are seeking a highly skilledSenior Cyber Capability Developerto support advanced software security analysis and development efforts. This role involves deep technical expertise in static and dynamic code analysis, reverse engineering, secure software development, and cybersecurity risk evaluation. The ideal candidate will work closely with Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) and other stakeholders to ensure the security and integrity of mission-critical systems. This is a proposal-based position; employment is contingent upon contract award and funding availability. What You'll Be Doing:
Assist ISSOs in evaluating delivered software for security compliance and risk. Conductstatic analysison source code written in languages such as C, C++, Java, C#, Groovy, Python, Perl, Puppet, JavaScript, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell, and Objective-C to identify vulnerabilities or malicious logic. Performdynamic, manual, and automated binary reverse engineeringto detect vulnerabilities or malicious behavior in compiled applications. Provide expert guidance on identifying indicators of malicious logic in both source code and binary files. Assess code libraries againstindustry best practicesand theOWASP Top 10. Develop internal tools, frameworks, scripts, and application extensions to enhance software security analysis workflows. Conductstatic and dynamic analysisof known and unknown malicious binaries, including reverse engineering and functional analysis. Offer technical guidance onsecure software development methodologies, including secure web development practices and interface security. SupportCJIS stakeholdersin identifying and evaluating technical and operational security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities. Deliver presentations, briefings, and knowledge transfers to technical and non-technical audiences. Produce detailed reports, includingrisk assessmentsandsecure code evaluation reports, as assigned.
Location: Location: This position will be based in Clarksburg, WV. This is a hybrid position, so you must be within commuting distance of Clarksburg, WV. Required Qualifications:
6+ yearsof experience in cybersecurity, secure software development, or reverse engineering. Strong proficiency in multiple programming and scripting languages. Demonstrated experience in static and dynamic code analysis, reverse engineering, and malware analysis. Familiarity with secure coding standards and frameworks such asOWASP,NIST, andSANS. Experience with tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, Burp Suite, Wireshark, and static code analyzers. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Top Secret clearance is required to be considered for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degreein Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field. CompTIA Security+,Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or equivalent certification. Experience working with law enforcement or criminal justice systems, particularlyCJISenvironments. Familiarity with secure DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
