Summary
At DSV, The Supervisor, Tender Management is responsible for leading a team of Tender Managers and Tender Assistants responsible for the accurate and timely execution of pricing and bid responses for new and existing business opportunities. This role oversees the full tender lifecycle including assignment, review, quality assurance, stakeholder coordination, and post-submission analysis-while driving operational excellence, team performance, and continuous process improvement.

This role acts as a central liaison between the commercial team, procurement functions (air, ocean, road, brokerage), and senior leadership to ensure pricing submissions are competitive, compliant, and aligned with company strategy. This individual must be an experienced leader who can balance team management with strategic oversight, supporting complex RFx activities and ensuring the team operates with precision and accountability.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a team of Tender Managers and Tender Assistants, ensuring balanced workloads, quality output, and professional development.
* Assign incoming RFx requests and monitor progress across multiple concurrent tenders.
* Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and team huddles to ensure alignment, performance, and communication.
* Provide guidance on complex tenders, pricing exceptions, and customer-specific requirements.
* Foster a high-performance culture that emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
* Oversee end-to-end execution of tender processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and profitability.
* Standardize workflows, templates, and procedures to drive consistency across all pricing submissions.
* Ensure effective use of internal pricing tools, databases, and communication platforms (e.g., Sourcify, Excel models).
* Review and approve high-priority or strategic tender responses prior to executive submission.
* Serve as the main point of contact between the tender team and procurement, commercial, and operations departments.
* Escalate and resolve pricing conflicts, deadline risks, and scope ambiguities with appropriate internal stakeholders.
* Participate in pricing strategy discussions and help translate high-level direction into tactical execution by the team.
* Track tender win/loss ratios, pricing accuracy, turnaround time, and team capacity metrics.
* Provide reporting and insights to senior management on tender trends, challenges, and resource needs.
* Conduct post-mortem reviews on major RFx submissions to capture lessons learned and improve processes.
* Identify training needs and provide coaching and upskilling opportunities for both Tender Managers and Assistants.
* Onboard new team members and maintain documentation of best practices, SOPs, and process changes.
* Ensure cross-training is in place to maintain team coverage during high-volume or PTO periods.

Educational background / Work experience / Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding, pricing, or tender management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
* Strong knowledge of RFx processes, rate structures, and international logistics services (Air, Ocean, Road, Brokerage).

Language Skills
* Business fluent in English
* Preferably good command of local language

Computer Literacy
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and others)
* Good knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (MS Dynamics) Tools
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and pricing/communication platforms (e.g., Sourcify or similar).

Work Hours and Environment
Normal working hours for this position are Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, however, working beyond these hours will often be required by business needs.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $70,500 - $105,500/ Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
