Job Description

We are seeking to fill two positions in UM System Procurement that encompass a variety of responsibilities related to procurement and asset management, supporting UM System and the four campuses, including University of Missouri - Columbia, University of Missouri - Kansas City, University of Missouri - St. Louis, and Missouri University of Science & Technology.

These positions will include the following job responsibilities:
* Process low dollar requisitions and contracts for a variety of commodities in accordance with governing regulations and University policies.
* Coordinate with the legal team on review of contracts and other areas for appropriate approvals required.
* Assist strategic sourcing specialists with contract renewals.
* Review spend on low dollar requisitions to identify where strategic contracts are needed and recommend potential contracts to strategic sourcing specialists for initiating sourcing events.
* Run reports for each campus unit to identify capital equipment assets and research missing information for entering into the asset management system.
* Update asset information in system when assets are transferred and/or disposed of.
* Send physical asset tags to departments for them to apply to newly acquired assets.
* Prepare and send annual inventory spreadsheets to departments, follow up to ensure all reports are completed, and make updates to the asset management system based on the returned reports.
* Data entry into various systems.
* May include being a backup for maintaining vehicle fuel cards, vehicle licensing, and pulling together information for responding to public open record requests.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Shift

Monday - Friday; 7am - 4pm, or 7:30am - 4:30pm, or 8am - 5pm

Minimum Qualifications

An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft Outlook & Excel experience, data entry experience, great attention to detail, organized, ability to multi-task, ability to think critically and problem solve, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with end users and suppliers, demonstrated excellent written and verbal communications, two years of procurement experience preferred, but not required.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $17.05 - $19.00 per hour
Grade: GGS 007
