About The Position | Major goals and objectives and location requirements:

Dotdash Meredith is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Associate Manager, Event Marketing to support the planning and execution of high-impact consumer events and brand activations for Better Homes & Gardens, REAL SIMPLE and Southern Living.

This role is ideal for a hands-on marketer with a passion for events, excellent organizational skills, and a desire to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment. You'll play a key role in delivering engaging, on-brand experiences that drive audience connection and business results.

This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

About The Team | The Team and/or Brand:

The Event Marketing team drives the success of our events, managing everything from concept to execution and post-event analysis. They lead cross-functional collaboration, working closely with sales and marketing to craft compelling messaging and memorable experiences that align with company goals, boost engagement, and deliver measurable results.

About The Positions Contributions - Weight % - Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results:

  • Support the Director, Event Marketing in the end-to-end execution of Southern Living's signature events - from venue research and vendor coordination to guest communications and on-site logistics.

30%

  • Assist in managing event timelines, run-of-shows, and production schedules to ensure seamless execution.

  • Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and talent to manage pre-event planning and day-of support.
  • Track and maintain budgets, invoices, and contracts to support event financial management.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, editorial, PR, and sponsorship teams to align event activations with brand goals.

  • Travel and attend key events to ensure smooth on-site execution and guest experience.

The Role's Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience in event marketing, ideally with exposure to consumer-facing events or brand activations.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends as event schedules require.

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $64,350.00 - $70,000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
