Position description: Join ARES Corporation in providing critical support for NASA's Johnson Space Center Commercial Crew Program by delivering expert assessment, cost estimating, and scheduling services.

Job Duties:

  • Provide development and integration of program Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
  • Provide updates, statuses, and maintenance inputs to the IMS, analyze the performance, produce the top three critical paths, and make recommendations.
  • Perform special runs using program scheduling tools and techniques inserting "what-if" scenarios to depict impacts on critical paths.
  • Perform reviews of the prime contractors' schedules and create reports
  • Conduct health assessments on all assigned schedules ensuring scheduling best practices are being followed.
  • Develop, status, report, and document schedules and metrics for program and project management. Provide schedule analysis and assessments, and report schedule findings as required.
  • Review and analyze prime contractor(s) DRDs for compliance with contractor scheduling DRD requirements.
  • Develop fiscal and year-end cost estimates as well as Life Cycle Cost (LCC) estimates, Estimate at Completion (EAC), Cost Evaluations, and Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and other cost projections.
  • Provide Change Request (CR) estimates and cost analysis of proposed hardware changes, operational changes, and Program contractor proposals. Update cost estimates against contractor proposals and provide as an input to the NASA technical evaluation. Validate that the scope and rates used in the initial Independent Government Estimate (IGE) developed to support the Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) are consistent with the official contractor proposal.
  • Development of parametric cost estimates, risk assessments, and ad hoc assessments.

Required qualifications:

  • MA Degree
  • 15 Years of experience
  • Some Travel maybe required

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

  • Prior experience in cost forecasting for crewed spaceflights systems, such as Gateway, Orion, and EVA activities
