About the Montefiore Nurse Practitioner Residency Program: Montefiore Family Nurse Practitioner Fellowship Program provides new nurse practitioners committed to practice careers as PCPs with an intensive training experience focused on training to clinical complexity and high performance. The NP Residency Program provides a highly structured transition from academic preparation to practice that supports the development of confidence, competence, and mastery in the primary care and FQHC setting. This 12-month, full-time position is a unique employment and training opportunity for new NPs to start their practice career in a high-performance health system in a supported learning environment Upon completion of the program, the NP Fellow will be required to commit to a 2-year contract to work at a Montefiore Medical Group health center site. Program Structure: The Nurse Practitioner Fellowship Program is a 5-day-a-week commitment, with 4 days in clinical practice and 1 day dedicated to classroom/didactic learning.
