Join the Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) team, where you'll contribute to groundbreaking innovations! We are seeking applicants for a Test Engineering Assistant to join our Strategic Military Space Division. The selected candidate will work with the Software Test Engineering Team to test software and web-based applications through established testing procedures. Students may also be asked to write, update, and run automated test code, scripts, and manual test procedures. Students will interface with Software Developers and Test Engineers throughout the development process.

The Strategic & Military Space Division delivers advanced satellite and sensor systems that support the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Our division is a key component of national security, providing technological solutions and expert mission support. Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a USU student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Must have completed their freshman year and have at least one year remaining before graduation
  • Candidates should have some familiarity in one or more of the following: Software testing and troubleshooting, programming languages (C#, Java, other), test automation (Playwright, Selenium, other)
  • Must be able to work effectively; both independently and as a team member
  • Must have good communications skills, both written and verbal are essential
  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
