What to Expect The Manager, Service Demand Planning is responsible for and leads the Demand Planning function in the Vehicle Service Supply Chain, producing a forecast for all parts across the network of Service Distribution Centers in support of the Tesla Service vehicle repair and eCommerce businesses. This role involves leading a team of demand planners, statisticians and data engineers with the goal of improving forecast accuracy and with a stable demand signal to cross-functional supply chain teams, creating a forecast using state-of-the-art statistical modeling, machine learning and forecasting methodologies combined with supplemental inputs through collaboration with Engineering, Reliability and other supply chain and planning functions. What You'll Do Lead the Service Demand Planning team in generating and maintaining demand forecasts for Service parts and accessories in North America Define the technical vision and roadmap for the Service Demand Planning team Own the development and optimization of the statistical model Develop forecasts for new vehicle launches to support seeding parts into the Service Distribution network Generate long-term forecasts for End-of-Life parts to support supply continuity efforts Partner with the Supply Chain and Distribution leadership team to develop and execute cost reduction initiatives. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
