What to Expect
The Manager, Service Demand Planning is responsible for and leads the Demand Planning function in the Vehicle Service Supply Chain, producing a forecast for all parts across the network of Service Distribution Centers in support of the Tesla Service vehicle repair and eCommerce businesses.
This role involves leading a team of demand planners, statisticians and data engineers with the goal of improving forecast accuracy and with a stable demand signal to cross-functional supply chain teams, creating a forecast using state-of-the-art statistical modeling, machine learning and forecasting methodologies combined with supplemental inputs through collaboration with Engineering, Reliability and other supply chain and planning functions.
What You'll Do
- Lead the Service Demand Planning team in generating and maintaining demand forecasts for Service parts and accessories in North America
- Define the technical vision and roadmap for the Service Demand Planning team
- Own the development and optimization of the statistical model
- Develop forecasts for new vehicle launches to support seeding parts into the Service Distribution network
- Generate long-term forecasts for End-of-Life parts to support supply continuity efforts
- Partner with the Supply Chain and Distribution leadership team to develop and execute cost reduction initiatives.
- Guide design and implementation of forecasting systems and define requirements for partner teams in IT and Service
- Foster strong relationships and lead cross-functional meetings with Engineering, NPI, Reliability, Planning, Warehousing, and Service teams
What You'll Bring
- 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain and at least 2-years previous experience in a people leadership role
- Degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, Supply Chain or similar fields preferred
- Proficiency in statistical modelling and its application to forecasting
- Demonstrated experience across use of Data Science and Analytics, including knowledge of advanced analytics and ML predictive models
- Expertise in data visualization and business intelligence tools, to drive decision making and consensus with cross functional partners
- Experience driving complex technical and analytical projects, ideally in a forecasting or Supply Chain context
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of how Demand Planning supports the end-to-end supply chain, including planning, procurement and inventory management, and the associated systems, e.g. MRP
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities in critical thinking, decision making, and driving change
- Effective communication that is genuine, clear and concise with experience presenting to senior leadership
- Continuous improvement, growth mindset with strong intellectual curiosity, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Expected Compensation
$96,000 - $210,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
