What to Expect

Consider before submitting an application:

This position is expected to start August/September 2025 and continue through the entire Fall term (i.e. through approx December 2025) or into Winter/Spring 2026 if available. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

What You'll Do
  • Support lab testing of lithium-ion cells and battery modules for compliance and safety validation
  • Assist in designing electrical schematics and test setups using AutoCAD, Altium, orsimilar tools
  • Help specify and select electrical components for test fixtures (e.g., panels, DAQs,sensors, relays)
  • Set up and wire electrical systems, and data acquisition systems for automated testsCollaborate with engineering and compliance teams on test procedures and labinfrastructure improvements
  • Participate in troubleshooting electrical setups and support root cause analysis for testanomalies
  • Maintain lab safety standards and document test configurations, wiring diagrams, andprotocols

What You'll Bring
  • Pursuing a Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

  • Coursework on Power electronics, Control system, renewable energy

  • Basic understanding of electrical schematics, power distribution, and wiring practices

  • Proficiency in Enovia, Altium, or other design tools is a plus

  • Strong interest in lab-based hands-on testing and electrical system troubleshooting
