What to Expect
We are looking for a talented Industrial Architect who can integrate architectural, technical, and construction knowledge with industrial engineering principles to create efficient and scalable facilities. This role will require the use of data-driven processes to quantitatively assess current business system performance and execute changes to reduce costs, optimize throughput, and develop standards across a multitude of facility types. This role demands excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and teamwork with the ability to prioritize business needs amongst multiple stakeholders while focusing on issue resolution and inter-departmental engagement.
What You'll Do
- Identify and leverage data to analyze and drive improvements in infrastructural systems across various business lines
- Lead cross-functional efforts to modify, create and implement operational standards
- Utilize simulation tools to analyze and improve operational efficiency across existing and new facility types.Create audit tools and propose and execute enhancements to systems and operations
- Design and develop facility layouts that optimize workflow, safety, and efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Structural, MEP, Fire Engineers, Architects, and Construction Managers
- Apply industrial engineering principles such as lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization to architectural design and systems.Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and space planning test fits.Ensure compliance with building codes, and ADA regulations
- Develop architectural plans, construction documents, and 3D models using BIM software
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Architecture, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field, with experience in simulations, analytics, and data visualization tools, or equivalent experience
- Experience in architecture, engineering, and construction, with general knowledge of building systems and codes
- 5+ years as an Industrial Architect or Engineer with expertise in capacity planning, operations management, and optimizing factory/ production line/ warehouse designs
- Proficient in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong positive attitude, sense of urgency, and ability to meet role requirements, with excellent interpersonal, leadership, and attention to detail skills
- Experience in industry methodologies is a plus: A3, 8D, ATS, MODAPTS, continuous improvement (Lean/ Six Sigma), preventive maintenance, and change management
- Advanced MS Office skills, Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, SimFlex, and other analytics and visualization tools are a plus
