Genesis10 is currently seeking an IAM Oracle Database Provisioner for a 12 month contract role with our client in the financial industry in Kansas City, MO. This role is hybrid, working 5 days/month onsite.
Summary:
- Responsible for provisioning Oracle database access associated with creating, modifying and deleting accounts and security of Oracle databases in the organization.
- Connect, create, delete and test accounts on Oracle databases for functional areas.
- Manage Oracle database access, user accounts, passwords and role-based access control while following procedures in an effort to improve the security posture of the organization.
- Develop and implement database solutions to meet business requirements and improve efficiency.
- Follows transition and system implementation plans.
- Recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards.
- Assists users in transition and implementation of new applications.
- A senior level position requires a seasoned professional with a full understanding of industry practices with a high level of work experience and proficiency in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides high level technical support, database account creation, modification and deletion as part of change management and maintenance on systems.
- Incident resolution for Oracle database account unlocks and password resets.
- Participate in on-call rotation to support and resolve incident tickets for after-hours and weekend activities
- Scripting and code development to assist in improving existing department provisioning activities
- Reporting and performing health checks
- Assists with problem analysis for complex configurations of Oracle databases.
- Provides consultations to technical questions and problems while adhering to standards and procedures.
- Make recommendations on functional and business requirements.
- Participates in project activities and provides technical assistance for assigned projects.
- Have the ability to adapt to our culture and learn the way we manage and support our systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge pertaining to SQL Oracle and general database support.
- Scripting and code development for SQL, PowerShell, Python to assist in improvement of department provisioning procedures
- Microsoft Office 365 (Power Automate)
- Performs work independently. May train and review work of less experienced staff, as well as serves as a knowledge resource.
- Communications: Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience. * Risk Management: Responsible for understanding and applying risk management discipline in decision making and contributing to his or her function`s risk management.
- Decision Making: Works under direction and guidance in planning details of procedures and methods to attain definite objectives. Makes decisions within established or widely accepted standards. Achieves assigned/planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, training, business principles, and practical experience.
Technical Qualifications
- Senior level work experience, typically 4+ years required knowledge pertaining to SQL Oracle and general database support.
- Scripting and code development for SQL, PowerShell, Python and to assist in improvement of department provisioning procedures
Senior level work experience with the following:
- Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Administration
- SQL Developer o Microsoft PowerBI
- Microsoft Office 365
- Toad
Working knowledge and work experience performing database account support
- Advanced knowledge and work experience with
- Database security provisioning activities
- SQL and PL/SQL o Information Security principles and guidelines
- Advanced knowledge and work experience with SQL Oracle concepts, database administration, and troubleshooting.
- Comparable industry technical certifications preferred.
Compensation:
Hourly W2 pay: $50.00 to $57.00/hour
