The Position

Analytical Methods Scientist

Summary

This position forms part of the Analytical Methods Development team and is responsible for initiating, directing and executing scientific research, development, validation and manufacturing process strategies with laboratory testing to support new and existing products.

The Opportunity:

Your responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Work collaboratively in a highly dynamic and innovative environment.

  • Investigate and determine the feasibility of applying diverse scientific principles to potential inventions, products, and challenges.

  • Develop, validate, perform, and troubleshoot new analytical test methods for biochemical, biological, and chemical analyses.

  • Oversee and conduct a variety of tests involving chemical, biochemical, and biological specimens, ensuring accuracy and reliability.

  • Perform a full range of qualitative and quantitative laboratory analyses with precision and rigor.

  • Maintain state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and ensure inventory readiness by routinely managing required supplies.

  • Contribute to scientific literature and attend relevant conferences to share expertise and insights.

  • Act as a scientific consultant both within the organization and externally, serving as a subject-matter expert.

  • Participate in the development of patent applications for innovative components, products, and systems.

  • Promote the professional development of colleagues and the establishment of excellent laboratory practices.

  • Design and execute complex experiments, utilizing Design of Experiment (DOE) approaches where applicable.

  • Prepare and deliver captivating project presentations to both internal teams and external groups.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree required plus 8 years of relevant experience ORMaster's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience OREntry level with a Ph.D.

  • Demonstrates potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, and collaboration with others and independent thought.

  • Strong understanding of scientific principles and concepts.

  • Applies advanced technical writing skills to produce reports and documents.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson, Arizona is $81,100 - $150,700.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
