Location: Cambridge City, IN Department: Human Resources (HR) Reports To: HR Manager Wage Range: $18.00 - $22.58 per hour
As an HR Specialist, you will provide HR and Administrative support for all departments at the distribution center (DC), including recruiting, benefits, and IT. This position works closely with the Managers at the Distribution Center to perform HR/administrative support in various areas of our business. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Assists in all aspects of the hiring and recruiting process, including scheduling of interviews and tests, phone screens, and updating candidate information in applicant tracking system
- Attend job fairs and recruiting events to promote Dot and recruit talent
- Involved in employee relations including new employee orientation, employee appreciation and event planning, flu shots, biometric clinics, wellness events, benefit enrollment, and exit interviews
- Assists in account payable processes and apply general ledger expense account numbers to invoices
- Performs various administrative duties, as needed, per the General Manager or other DC leadership
- Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position
YOU MUST HAVE
- High School Diploma or general equivalency degree
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees and other departments
- Trustworthiness to handle sensitive, confidential information
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
YOU MAY ALSO HAVE
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resources, CHRP or in progress
- Customer service skills to serve employees in an appropriate manner
- Previous knowledge or experience in Human Resources
ROLE SPECIFICS
- Schedule: Full Time Day Shift; Monday through Friday 8:00-5:00, with occasional evenings and weekend hours
- Work Environment: Office Setting
