Job Summary

The Learning Experience Designer supports the design and coordination of learner-centered pathways across short-term, non-degree training programs within the Skills Lab. Applying systems thinking alongside human-centered design principles, this role helps ensure learning tools, support structures, and program workflows align with employer needs and support adult learners from application through completion.

This position is located at Gradient Tulsa.


Essential Duties

Design modular learning pathways that prepare adult learners for high-demand tech careers, in close collaboration with instructors and employer partners.

Build and optimize the recruitment, application, and onboarding experience to support learner journeys and reflect the motivations, address the barriers, and advance the goals of adult learners.

Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective learners, providing timely, accurate, and supportive guidance throughout the admissions and enrollment process.

Design supportive resources and human touchpoints that build learner confidence, promote engagement, and foster persistence, including pacing tools, goal-setting templates, and timely reminders.

Work closely with the Skills Lab Program Manager to coordinate systems, cohort flow, scheduling, and day-to-day program operations to ensure learners stay on track and progress smoothly through each phase of the program.

Support implementation of wraparound support services to enhance learner success.

Use data and learner feedback to identify pain points and make continuous improvements to the learner experience.


Minimum Qualifications

Require Bachelor's degree in education, communication, business, psychology, sociology, or a related area. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.

3 years experience working with learners, users, or customers in roles such as program coordination, adult education, user experience design, workforce training, instructional design, or customer success.

Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners in a fast-paced, iterative setting.

Strong written and communication skills for creating clear, adaptable learner resources and designing supportive, technology-enabled touchpoints that promote student success.


Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to coaching, mentoring, or behavioral nudging strategies in an education or workforce context.

Familiarity with user-centered design principles applied to learning environments or learner support.

Ability using and supporting multiple digital tools or platforms that enhance the learner or user experience.
