OVERVIEW

The Utility position is responsible for following standard operating procedures to provide and insure a clean and sanitized work environment.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs cleaning/sanitation, product packaging, labelling, warehousing etc. duties in accordance with SOP's
• Performs the Daily Cleaning Schedule, Daily Facilities Evaluation and Weekly Cleaning Schedule and completes paperwork.
• Follows all GMP, food safety, safety policies, and procedures
• May be required to complete/assist in safety, quality, and regulatory inspections.
• Operates forklift in a safe manner and complete paperwork for the following: tote production, organic sugar production, occasional deliveries and shipments
• Assist maintenance personnel as needed
• Completes production reports and reviews with shift/maintenance lead daily
• Other duties as assigned

WORK EXPERIENCES

• Prior experience operating a fork lift preferred
• Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment required
• Prior experience working in a FDA or SQF regulated environment preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED required

• PC skills required
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with peers and leadership required
• Must possess great attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast paced industrial environment
• Demonstrated ability to arrive to work on time and work overtime as needed
• Must be able to lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs. repetitively.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; sit; climb or balance; scoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear.
• Must be able to work under hot or cool, wet and sometimes-dusty, and loud conditions, dust mask, coveralls and, or hearing protection may be required.
