Introduction

The Loudoun County Office of Elections and Voter Registration is seeking a Voter Services Specialist to join our team!
Our office manages all federal, state, and local elections for the voters of Loudoun County, and is dedicated to ensuring that all eligible voters have the right to cast their vote safely, securely, and efficiently. Job Summary

The Voter Services Division of the Office of Elections manages voter registration, list maintenance, early voting, and mail voting for all Loudoun County voters and assists prospective candidates with completing the required paperwork to run for office.

The Voter Services Specialist will serve as the Administrative Assistant for the Voter Services Division. The primary focus of this position will be to provide administrative assistance and support to the Voter Services Manager and supervisors and program coordinators within the division. This may include assisting with activities related to voter registration & list maintenance, early voting, mail voting, and candidate services. Additionally, you will assist with financial transactions; managing calendars; communicating with election officers, voters, and candidates for office; and assisting with other division or office activities as needed.

The ideal candidate would possess a strong desire to serve the public, have excellent customer service skills, be detail oriented and thorough, be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of constituencies verbally and in writing, and be able to function in a fast paced and sometimes rapidly changing environment. The chosen candidate will also have experience with office computer software and hardware including Microsoft Office. Experience with elections or voting, specifically in Virginia, is preferred.

Hiring salary commensurate with experience.


Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma; three (3) years of related work experience; or a combination of education and experience. Must be a resident of and registered voter in the Commonwealth of Virginia.


Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Criminal, credit, and DMV background checks are required. All staff in the Office of Elections are required to work overtime around elections and this will include evenings and weekends as needed.
