All Locations Greenfield , Indiana , United States Job Description Candidate will use their skills and knowledge in Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Bacteriology to support development of new products. What you'll do: Manipulate microbial genetic material for the development of new products Conduct analysis of pharmaceutical products using traditional microbiological techniques such as dilution, pour plating, and filtration Under the direction of lab management, perform a wide range of general Microbiology and Molecular testing to include: PCR, PCR design, primer design, PCR optimization, DNA extraction from bacteria, DNA sequencing, DNA gel electrophoresis, protein extraction, BCA assay, PAGE, Western blotting, Western blot optimization, Silver staining, antibody sourcing, bacteriology and fermentation May also perform: cloning, subcloning, restriction digests, ligations, transformations, Southern blots and protein expression Culturing bacterial and mammalian cell lines What you'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in Biology, focus in Microbiology and Molecular Biology preferred Understanding of the microbiology and molecular testing - Sterile Technique experience Able to perform testing to SOP specifications Highly organized with and attentive to detail Strong communication and lab documentation/reporting skills Additional Information Benefits 80 hrs of paid vacation per year, 7 paid holidays per year, 2 floating holidays per year (prorated based on start date), 40 hrs paid sick time per year, paid bereavement leave (days based on relation to the employee), 8 hrs paid volunteer time per year, parental leave, medical, dental, vision, voluntary short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, voluntary supplemental life insurance, traditional 401k and ROTH 401k with a company match, HSA, FSA, employee referral bonus, employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement program, employee recognition program, voluntary ID theft coverage, voluntary legal coverage, voluntary accident insurance, voluntary hospital indemnity insurance, and voluntary critical illness insurance.
