Master Maintenance Technician - Days Monday - Friday TBD 7:00am - 5:00pm The hourly wage for this position is $42.26 to $44.00. New Hire Sign On Bonus - $2,000 What we're about:

This highly visible position is located at our Vancouver, WA facility. What you'll do: This position will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the production equipment. This position will develop and implement the maintenance programs necessary to ensure the short-term and long-term reliability of the equipment, as well as lead the effort to optimize maintenance costs, maximize equipment availability, and reduce unsafe conditions. Essential Functions:
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), company policies, safety policies and practices, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Responsible at all times for ensuring that tasks are performed according to food safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.
- Locate and diagnose failures, replace defective components, and perform basic troubleshooting using standard equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.
- Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment using testing instruments, hand and power tools, and precision-measuring instruments.
- Perform a wide variety of functions such as installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for generating, distributing, and utilizing electrical energy.
- Use instruments to test circuits and replace or install new power, light, electronic, and control circuits.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, inspect circuits, and wiring for shielding and grounding, and test electrical equipment for safety and efficiency.
- Repair complex electrical equipment, including motors, switches, switchboards, electrical mechanisms, automated machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, communication systems, and alarms.
- Perform complex wiring assignments.
- Install, measure, cut, bond, thread, and assemble electrical conduit.
- Work from schematics, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
- Improvise acceptable fixes to get equipment running promptly.
- Assist engineers in diagnosing problems and suggesting corrective action.
- Clean and lubricate parts.
- Inspect completed repairs.
- Properly inspect and maintain shop equipment, in accordance with OSHA regulations and C&D Standards.
- Prepare new machines and production equipment for operation.
- Follow a strict preventive maintenance schedule to lessen exposure to downtime related repairs and maintenance.
- Requisition new parts and equipment.
- Report shift metrics to capture the performance and/or areas for improvement (breakdowns, downtime, part availability, etc.).
- Maintain appropriate maintenance and repair logs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and production floor.
- Consistently work in a safe manner with regard to self, co-workers, and manufacturing systems.
- Perform general housekeeping tasks and waste removal within department/group and assist other areas as required.
- Continuously review current processes and search out improvement methods to improve product/process quality and reduce waste, rework, and unnecessary work that adds no value to the work or process.
- Assist with a quality control process on repairs made in house.
- Use results from inspections to help develop the other maintenance technicians and further refine processes and maintenance documents.
- Assist and support other team members in meeting department and site goals.
- Contribute and participate in team decision making.
- Provide support with project work and other special requests.
- Provide support to the production team to produce superior quality materials that meet/exceed client needs.
- Support the needs of manufacturing and facilities to ensure both are in top working order.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of industrial experience.
- Associate degree or vocational certificate preferred.
- PLC experience and three-phase electrical knowledge is required along with a demonstrated understanding of industrial controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Mechanical/Electrical aptitude.
- Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to maintain punctuality and predictable attendance.
- Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and clean room attire; perform moderate physical activity which requires standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day and up to twelve (12) hours per shift and lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds; and perform work onsite in a light industrial environment, including some exposure to non-toxic dust.
