Maintenance Technician II - Weekend Days Monday - Wednesday and every other Thursday 5:00am - 5:00pm The hourly wage for this position is $33.61 to $35.00 plus $1 shift differential New Hire Sign On Bonus - $2,000 What we're about:

This highly visible position is located at our Vancouver, WA Facility. What you'll do: This position will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting on manufacturing and/or packaging equipment. Essential Functions:
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), company policies, safety protocols, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Ensure tasks are performed in accordance with food safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.
- Work individually or with other Maintenance Technicians to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Assist and direct team members to ensure all scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs are completed effectively.
- Perform machinery and mechanical equipment repairs and maintenance according to schematics, diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications using hand tools, power tools, precision-measuring, and testing instruments. This includes motors, pumps, pneumatics, conveyor systems, production machines, and equipment.
- Recommend measures to Shift Supervisors or Managers to improve maintenance methods, equipment performance, and quality.
- Interpret and enforce company policies and safety/environmental regulations.
- Ensure proper operation of boilers, chillers, compressors, air handling units, and other facility equipment.
- Assist in maintaining the spare parts inventory.
- Observe processing and packaging machines in operation, troubleshoot problems, and help determine root cause.
- Provide direction to external contractors/vendors performing building maintenance such as minor plumbing and electrical wiring as needed.
- Complete service, repair, and other records as required.
- Occasionally operate forklifts, scissor lifts, or pallet jacks to assist in loading and moving materials and products.
- Occasionally assist operators in the operation of machinery.
- Provide performance feedback on subordinates when requested.
- Respond to wastewater treatment issues to ensure proper system performance.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Assist in maintaining the spare parts inventory.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Assist in Quality investigations
What you'll need:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years Maintenance experience in a Manufacturing Environment required.
- Experience in food or other manufacturing environments, and machine shop or fabrication skills is preferred.
- Knowledge of general confectionary processing a plus.
- Knowledge of PLCs, process control systems, VFDs, servos, motors, and actuators.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and sketches.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
- Ability to detect problems, perform repairs, and report information to appropriate personnel.
- Ability to obtain Forklift and Scissor Lift certification.
- Ability to maintain punctuality and predictable attendance.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
- Ability to cross train and work at either manufacturing or packaging plants.
- Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and GMP and cleanroom attire; perform moderate physical activity, requiring standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day and up to twelve (12) hours per shift and be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds and be able to perform work onsite and be comfortable in a light industrial environment, including some exposure to non-toxic dust.
