Lactalis /Commonwealth Dairy, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Packager based in Brattleboro, VT.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Food Industry Packaging Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will ensure the quality and accuracy of our food packaging products. The Packager role is responsible for removing the product from the filler line to the prep area for distribution. This position is part of a cohesive team, needs someone who can multi-task and is motivated!

We have 5 shifts available M-F - your choice! 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift and weekends!

We are hiring temporary staff (with the potential to become permanent) to assist us with Hand Packing Projects. If you like YOGURT, then check out this opportunity!!! 5 shifts available

1st Shift 6am - 2:30pm Mon - Fri

2nd Shift 2pm - 10:30pm Mon - Fri

3rd Shift 10pm - 6:30pm Mon - Fri

Weekend Shift

Saturday and Saturday

6am - 6pm and 6pm - 6am with a min one 8 hour shift during the week.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Packagers are essential to supply chain operations. They move, store, and protect materials and goods throughout manufacturing, distribution, consumption, and disposal. Duties include picking, sorting, placing materials, and ensuring proper shipment preparation. They may use manual or motorized equipment to move goods.

* Work on assigned line to assist with the packaging of yogurt containers by way of machine and/or hand packing.

* Uphold quality, safety, and cleanliness standards within designated areas.

* Communicate with other team members to ensure efficient plant operations.

* Set-up oncoming shift for successful run.

* Perform any duties necessary to support the team.

* Obtain information necessary to perform duties at pre-shift tailgate meetings and by meeting with off-going employees.

* Vigilantly monitor equipment operation for indications of impending problems and possible operational improvements.

* Trained to operate pallet jack. "We will train you if you don't have experience operating pallet jacks".

  • Maintain food safety and quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.
  • Required to wear food safety/sanitation clothing.
  • This position necessitates conformance to personal hygiene regulations.
  • Report food safety problems to personal with authority to initiate action.
  • Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current.
