A. BASIC PURPOSE
The Statistician and Corps Management Coordinator will ensure that all required reports are completed, and records are filed and maintained. A key responsibility will be the collection and recording of statistical information from corps and centers, as well as providing training and support in monthly program statistics and managing the Corps Management System.

B. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
STATS
Assist each Corps in developing a process for gathering and processing statistics.
Collect all statistical reports from Corps/Units of the division, including use of the Corps Management System.
1. Oversee the reporting of statistical data from divisional units to DHQ by the Salvation Army's national guidelines, using both National Statistical System (NSS) and Turbo Stats Pro functions.
2. Distribute monthly statistics reminders to all units before the monthly unit reporting deadline (the 7th of each month) and contact units that do not submit statistics by the monthly deadline.
3. Provide support and assistance to divisional units on all aspects of statistical input, reporting, and user maintenance.
4. Analyze the statistical data as recorded by each Corps/Unit in the Turbo Stats Program forms. Resolve accuracy problems with the Corps/Units.
5. Produce statistical reports to any Divisional Department, Territorial Headquarters (THQ), or any Corps/Unit as requested.
6. Submit monthly reports to THQ (due on the 20th of each month).
7. Submit annual year-end report to THQ.
8. Prepare five-year reports for Divisional Reviews and Corps Reviews, as requested.
9. Be responsive to requests for technical assistance from Corps and Divisional personnel, including training and occasional visits to Corps and Service Centers.
10. Work with the individual corps to update membership rolls annually.
11. Verify and confirm that officer enrollments are accurate and update them as needed.
12. Balance CMS data with Turbo Stats data.
13. Assist with annual DHQ and Corps reviews.
14. Attend training events as needed.

Corps & DHQ
- Process warrants and commissions for Local Officers.
- Manage and track Corps administration.
- Update Corps information and records.
- Maintain the Divisional Landing Page.
- Update the Officer directory, Divisional calendar, and DHQ extension list.
- Keep records for the Women's Auxiliary, including the directory, roll sheet, and CMS records.
- Prepare for general events for the Corps and Auxiliary.

C. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
1. Must embrace, support, and reflect well on The Salvation Army's Mission and values through one's professional responsibilities and behavior at all times.
2. General knowledge of statistical methods.
3. A clear understanding of statistical terms and concepts; analytical skills; and problem-solving skills.
4. The ability to communicate results and findings to non-statisticians and users; ability to influence others.
5. Above average computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Applications, TSAMM, CMS, and other programs associated with the position.
6. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills at a professional level.
7. Must possess professional editing and media-level writing skills.
8. Must be goal-oriented, self-motivated and follow through with projects from beginning to completion.
9. Must possess good people skills and ability to empathize, communicate and to work and deal effectively with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds.
10. Must be flexible and able to work within tight time constraints, both independently and as part of a team.
11. Strong work ethic, demonstrated initiative and flexibility in meeting the needs of the position and department.
12. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

D. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
1. Must possess a valid California Class C Driver License, and ability to drive a Standard Salvation Army vehicle.
2. Must be 21 years or older.
3. Complete The Salvation Army vehicle course training

E. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis
2. Ability to grasp, push, and/or pull objects
3. Ability to reach overhead
4. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
5. Ability to process written, visual, and/or verbal information
6. Ability to operate basic office equipment and tools

Qualifications
Experience
3 years: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Applications, TSAMM, CMS, and other programs associated with the position. (preferred)
1 years: General knowledge of statistical methods (preferred)
